Game of Thrones Season 7 Premiere: Dragonstone

Dragonstone Premiere

Arya Stark & Ed Sheeran

Never have I been more excited for a show to come back. A year-long wait was most definitely worth it with the season 7 premiere. Let’s start off going crazy for that opening scene with Arya Stark disguised as Walder Frey and taking out his entire army by poisoning them. That was by far one of my favorite scenes. My favorite line was Arya saying “Leave one wolf alive and the sheep are never safe!”. It was an absolutely amazing mind-blowing scene. I’m excited to see what she does next.

Now lets take a moment to talk about Ed Sheeran’s cameo. I have seen a lot of people saying it was awkward, they didn’t like him and they wished he had never been in the show. Personally I loved his scene. He barely said anything to begin with but when he did I didn’t think it was bad at all. I loved hearing him sing. I actually thought he fit in quite well and I feel horrible for him for what people are saying. Don’t worry Ed there are some of us fans out here that really enjoyed your scene.

Arya Stark with Ed Sheeran’s character: Indiewire

The soldiers invite Arya to sit and eat with them one asks what a girl is doing out all alone. Arya proceeds to tell them she’s off to Kings Landing to kill the queen, Cersei Lannister. The soldiers look at each other quite confused and then laugh as if Arya is just joking around. But we know she is deathly serious. We know Arya has a kill list and Cersei is on that list. If that Walder Frey scene is anything to go by you better watch out Cersei.

White Walkers & The Nights King

We get an amazing scene of the white walker army approaching. As we all know winter is finally here and with it comes the dead. One shocking thing we notice about this army is they have a giant. I really hope the opposing sides can prepare in time for their arrival because it looks like it’s going to be a tough battle.

Night King:

I can’t wait to see the night king in action, he is one of my favorite characters, he never says a word but he looks terrifying.

Bran Stark & Meera Reed

Bran Stark and Meera arrive at the wall after the confrontation with the night king and the white walkers where we lost our beloved characters Hodor and Bran’s direwolf Summer. Edd part of the nights watch greets them and let’s them in. I hope Edd sends a raven to let Jon know that Bran is with them as I want Jon and Bran to be reunited. We know Bran is now the three eyed raven and has visions. Last season he had a vision of the tower where we saw Lyanna his aunt give birth to a son who is revealed to be Jon Snow himself. With Bran knowing Jon’s true parentage i want him to finally tell Jon. That is my one hope for this season or even maybe next season. I just want Jon to know.

Jon Snow: King in the North

Speaking of Jon Snow aka my husband who is now king of the north. He is holding a meeting with his peers to discuss the best way to prepare for the white walker army and impending war. He tells them they need as much dragonglass as possible as this is the only way to kill them.

Sir Davos, Jon Snow & Sansa Stark:

One thing that annoyed me about this scene was Sansa. If you are a fan of Sansa skip ahead. She constantly undermines Jon, she needs to back off and let him do his job. Sansa had the opportunity to become queen of the north but gave it to Jon. Jon knows what he is doing, he has come face to face with the night king and his army. He knows how dangerous and scary they are and he knows how to kill them. If Sansa dies this season let’s just say I’d be quite happy.

Jon tells them they need to train everyone to fight and this includes woman and children. We get an amazing scene from Lyanna Mormont. She tells them she will not sit by and do nothing. She will fight and she will train her people to do the same. Lyanna is always a joy to watch on-screen, seeing her in battle will be nothing short of incredible.

Lyanna Mormont:

Samwell Tarley

Poor Samwell, we see him working hard cleaning the mess most people would frown upon. It’s quite a disgusting scene but I thought it was a funny change to see what he’s going through. He is trying to get into the forbidden part of the library that is for maesters only. Samwell want’s to find out all he knows about the white walkers so he can help Jon with the incoming war. Samwell himself has seen them and like Jon has actually killed one. Upon finally gaining access to the room, he takes a couple of books. He reads through a book with information that there are mountains of dragonglass beneath Dragonstone. He tells Gilly he must send a raven to let Jon know.

Samwell walks down a hall collecting left over bowls from patients when we get a jump-scare. A man grabs him and asks him for any information on Dany. I didn’t catch on at first who this man is, which should have actually been incredibly obvious. The man is Jorah Mormont, who Dany sent away to find a cure for his greyscale. Unfortunately it looks like he did not find that cure as you can see it has spread up his arm.

Cersei Lannister

Cersei who is now queen of the 7 kingdoms. I don’t know how I feel about Cersei, the woman has sure been through a lot we can’t deny that but the majority is what she has bought on herself. She seeks the help from Euron Greyjoy who quite frankly I wouldn’t mind seeing him die. Cersei refuses his marriage proposal which prompts him to say he will bring her a gift. I am concerned for this one, what gift is he exactly going to bring her? will someone die? I hope that this means we won’t lose Tyrion.

Cersei Lannister: Vanityfair

Every season in Game of Thrones a king has died. Maybe this season we will lose a queen.

Daenerys Targaryen (Dany)

Last season Dany the awesome bad-ass dragon queen finally set sail, it’s been a long 6 season wait but she finally got the army she wanted and she went home. I love how much Dany has grown over the seasons, she started off being very frightened and afraid of the brother that was always so controlling of her. With all she has gone through she is finally the strong woman she was meant to be.

Daenerys Targaryen (Dany): PMCVarity

I’m excited that now all 3 of her dragons are out and by her side, with them I hope she will be unstoppable. But this also puts the dragons at risk of one of them possibly dieing. let’s hope that does not happen.

Rhaegal, Viserion & Drogon flying home to Dragonstone: dorkjournal

With Dany finally home in Dragonstone she can work along side her army to hopefully defeat Cersei and take the 7 kingdoms.

Shall We Begin: Wikiofthrones

I can’t wait to see how it all unfolds this season.
