HELLO MARVEL AND DC FANS!
The time of the year has arrived and San Diego Comic Con is going on! As expected, many movies and TV shows we have been anxiously anticipating have been revealed, as well as who has been cast for future roles. I’m saddened as another year passes, and I STILL have yet to attend this comic con. Two years ago, I had the privilege of attending the Wizard World Comic Con in Austin, Texas where I met Manu Bennet. WHAAAAAAAAT!!! Here’s a pic we took on my phone:
Also, I must note that out of pure nervousness, and infatuation with this gorgeous man, the first thing I asked him was, “Will you marry me?” His response, “YEA! Let’s go right now!” After a few minutes of conversation, this is what I left with:
After leaving this incredible event, I was more determined than ever to go to SDCC! My chance hasn’t came yet, but when it does, I PROMISE TO SHARE MY EXPERIENCE! I have a plethora of ideas for costumes! I look forward to the day when I can be myself, around people just as geeky as I am. <3
Let’s continue to what has been released so far!
Captain Marvel – Brie Larson
ROUND OF APPLAUSE! I can only imagine how difficult of a decision this was. Here is the list of the other
Captain Marvel Casting Choices:
10. Katee Sackhoff/Anna Torv
9. Jennifer Lawrence
8. Natalie Dormer
7. Chloe Grace Moretz
6. Charlize Theron
5. Blake Lively
4. Kerry Washington
3. Mia Wasikowska
2. Brie Larson
1. Emily Blunt
It’s times like these I’m fortunate I do not have the occupation of casting director. Many of these are excellent choices, however some of these are hard to fathom were even considered. I do believe Brie Larson was a great choice. I must admit, I was surprised, yet not surprised, Jennifer Lawrence was a choice. Thank the Marvel Gods she wasn’t chosen. Don’t get me wrong, I am a fan of hers, but this is CAPTAIN MARVEL. I feel as though Blake Lively was considered solely because her husband is also a Marvel character. Is it wrong to think that? Probably, but I don’t care.
Villain: The Vulture
Here are some facts to know about this villain:
He’s a genius – Earning a Masters of Science in electrical engineering, Adrian Toomes is brilliant in the fields of electronics and mechanical engineering and has a talent for invention — even creating the flight harness for which his character is known.
The Vulture has Super Strength – Due to the exposure of the electromagnetics in his flight harness, Toomes gains superhuman strength, allowing him to lift around 700 lbs.
The Vulture is a Founding Member of the Sinister Six – After escaping prison and seeking revenge on Spider-Man, Doctor Octopus organized a team of villains that hated the wall-crawler–including the Vulture, Sandman, Mysterio, Electro, and Kraven the Hunter. Many have suggested that The Sinister Six is still on it’s way to the big screen, but only time will tell. It’s one of the best reoccurring villain team-up in comics, so here’s hoping!
There is more than one Vulture – There are three men that have been referred to as the Vulture in the Marvel Universe. The original, Adrian Toomes, is an elderly business man and inventor swindled out of his company, who then used the flight-enabling harness he had invented to live a life of crime as the Vulture. After sharing a jail cell with Toomes, Raniero “Blackie” Drago tricked Toomes into revealing the location of his spare suits. After breaking out of prison, Drago took the suits, using them to continue his robberies for a short time before being stopped. Clifton Shallot was an academic who turned himself into a duplicate of the original Vulture using his expertise in bio-mutation. Due to this mutation, Shallot had genuine wings and talons, not needing a flight harness like the others. Rather than a super villain, like the rest of the Vultures, Jimmy Natale is a mutated vigilante who would mercilessly kill and eat other criminals.
We almost saw The Vulture on the big screen before! – Back in 2009, before Sam Rami’s fourth installation of Spider-Man was canceled in order to reboot with The Amazing Spider-Man, John Malkovich was apparently in negotiations to play the Vulture in the would-be Spider-Man 4.
The Vulture is more than a thief – Don’t let this character’s mild-looking demeanor fool you. The Vulture started out as a thief aiming to ruin his former partner, but he is a strong fighter and an unforgiving killer despite his age. Most of his villainous career he was obsessed with two things: revenge and death. Because of that, nothing seems to be to low for him. From kidnapping, killing, and brainwashing his fellow villains. His criminal career even began after discovering his business partner, Gregory Bestman, had been cheating him out of his share of the profits. So, revenge runs deep with this one.
The Vulture tried to be a vigilante for a while – Toomes attempted a short stint at being a hero under the tutelage of Al Kraven, the son of Kraven the Hunter, but returned to a life of crime.

Can we just talk about how adorable Ezra Miller is as The Flash? I was apprehensive about his casting at first, however I’m fine now. ha! Cyborg just looks BEAST!!! Aquaman, definitely not someone to mess with. lol
This is perfect casting at its finest.
Did my ears deceive me, or did I hear Will Smith say the B*&#! word? I already like this movie.

The Flash S3
This last season of The Flash was PHENOMENAL!! One of the best TV writing ever! After the last episode where Barry altered reality, I was somewhat upset at him. I felt he was being selfish! Then, I thought, “well crap, if I lost those I loved the most because of my actions, and I knew I could get them back, I would probably do the same.” Once I had that mentality and learned about “Flashpoint,” I’m eager for this new season to arrive. HURRY UP OCTOBER!
Sigh. I really hope this new season BLOWS MY MIND because these last two seasons, were definitely not the best. The S3 AND S4 season finale, SUCKED! Absolutely terrible. WRITERS OF ARROW, YOU NEED A NEW GAME PLAN! Take notes from the Flash writers!
Agents of S.H.E.I.L.D. S3
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! GHOST RIDER!
Luke Cage S1
HAHA! Nothing can get through him. Pun intended. I loved him in Jessica Jones!
